Wikitalkvox: VoIP Mobile Dialer

Wikitalkvox is a free mobile dialer that allows users to make VoIP calls using 3G/Edge/Wi-Fi internet connectivity. Developed by Digitelecom, it is designed to meet the VoIP providers' business needs.

The mobile dialer uses the SIP protocol based for signaling and supports G729, PCMU, and PCMA codecs. It runs behind NAT or a private IP, has a user-friendly interface, and offers real-time SIP status messages. Wikitalkvox also features call history and address book integration, which is compatible with all SIP standard switches.

Wikitalkvox has implemented an efficient jitter buffer to play voice smoothly. It uses silent suppression and comfort noise generation to reduce bandwidth usage, making the dialer more efficient in making VoIP calls. The mobile dialer easily integrates with the mobile phonebook and auto-detects the (+) sign when a contact is picked from the phonebook.
